Upcoming artist Zico Ranking who had the microphone forcefully taken away from him while performing on stage at Wendy Shay’s concert at West Hills mall on the 20th of December has opened up on what ensued on the day.
In the events leading to what has been perceived as the gross disrespect and dumping of spirit of the underground act, his manager, Danny Beatz narrated he introduced the artist to the eager fans before leaving the stage for him to perform.
While at backstage, he saw his artist return in tears, only to be told one of the boys called Abass had just sacked him off the stage, purportedly to pave way for Article Wan to perform.
Speaking to Sammy Flex, Zico Ranking also disclosed he cried because he thought that incident could potentially end his career.
“I started shedding tears because I knew my career was coming to an end. The crowd were happy and enjoying the my music” he told SammyFlex TV.
Following the incident, ‘Omo Ada’ hitmaker Medikal promised to bless Zico Ranking with song and pay for the video to the song all for free because what befell him reminded him of his days underground.
Teeflow and Article Wan ( whose sake Zico was sacked) also expressed their displeasure at what happened to him.
