Demonstration against the Electoral commission’s move to compile a new voters register was held this morning in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi.

The words of the disgruntled political parties led by the biggest opposition party NDC to the EC chair and her assistants were unsavory to say the least.

Placards sighted by Nsemwoha had inscriptions which called Madam Jean Mensah and Bossman “fools”, calling on fire to burn them.

The 8 political parties who are involved in the demonstrations are calling for the EC to back down on its decision to compile a new voters register and the upgrade of its biometric equipment ahead of the 2020 general elections.

NEW VOTER REGISTRATION BEGINS IN APRIL 2020

The EC who is adamant the decision is in the best interest of the public and meant to protect the sanity of the election has slated April 2020 as the month the new voters registration exercise will commence.
