Crowd gathered at the Harare National stadium booed the South African president, his Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa as he read his tribute at the funeral of the late Robert Mugabe.
The palpable disaffection stems from recent xenophobic attacks in various cities in South Africa of which victims included Zimbabweans.
South African authorities have been blamed for the rhetoric that led to the recent incidents and several incidents in the past.
They have also been blamed for refusing to do anything concrete about the heinous violence that has taken the lives of many African immigrants living in South Africa.
Many heads of state have gathered in the capital Harare to pay their last respects to the man who liberated Zimbabwe from white minority rule.
