A judge has slapped 10 years of jail time on a British woman who falsely accused a group of men in 4 separate times of raping her in a matter of 3years, the guardian reports
25 years old Jemma Beale who’s resident in London, in 2010 accused nine men of raping her and another six of seriously assaulting her, one of them, Mahad Cassim was sentenced to 7years in prison but was later granted freedom upon appeal in 2015.
Jemma’s former girlfriend, was the one who told police she had lied about the rape, which led the police to commence an investigation into the matter in 2013.
In the judge’s closing remarks, she called Jemma Beale a very convincing liar who enjoys being seen as the victim.
He added:
“These offenses usually began as a drunken attempt to get your partner’s sympathy or perhaps to arouse her jealousy. They each began impulsively, but what is particularly chilling is the manner in which you persisted in making allegations which you knew were untrue even to the extent of committing and repeating perjury.”
