Wife of NPP’s Deputy National Organizer celebrates new year with Nadowli-Kaleo party women

Mrs. Evelyn-Khalila Botah, wife of NPP’s Deputy National Organizer Elvis Banoemuleng Botah, celebrated the new year with the NPP Polling Station Women Organizers of the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency at an event which came as a delightful surprise to them.

The event which took place yesterday at the district capital Nadowli, was full of merry and in the spirit of the yuletide, Mrs. Evelyn Botah and her beautiful little twin girls distributed gifts and goodies which included cloths. Present at the gathering was 87 out of a total of 93 polling station women organizers in the constituency. Also present at the event was the NPP Deputy Women Organizer for the Upper West Region, Madam Rabiatu Danaa.

Mrs. Botah used the opportunity to thank the Women Organizers for their hard work prior to and during the 2016 elections in support of the NPP and her husband’s bid to annex the parliamentary seat from the NDC.

Although her husband lost to Hon. Alban Bagbin by a small margin despite the limited time and resources he had to campaign prior to the elections, she was full of gratitude for the support received. She said the NDC had done very little for the people in the constituency and the gains the NPP made in the last election showed the people of Nadowli-Kaleo were indeed tired of the incompetence of the NDC in the constituency and the wind of change was destined to blow come 2020.

She assured them her husband was committed to changing the fortunes of the constituency when given the nod. “Even without the resources of an MP’s office, my husband among other things recently sunk a mechanized borehole for the Kuo Kakalaa community who had been without potable water since time immemorial and used to walk many kilometers to the nearest stream to fetch water”, She added.

Mr. Elvis Banoemuleng Botah’s contribution to the NPP was recognized at the National Level when he was appointed Deputy National Organizer of the party. He has made known his intentions to contest the soon to be held NPP Parliamentary primaries and is determined to liberate the constituency from the palpable incompetence of the incumbent.
