Ghanaian actress and social media celebrity, Efia Odo has gone ballistic on the political ruling class labeling them as thieves. In a message she posted, the socialite noted that the alleged thievery going on in government has been the norm for ages.
Many people in Ghana harbor the perception that, most politicians especially those in government are stealing from the nation’s coffers. This perception, though hard to substantiate, still holds some modicum of truth.

The politicians are alleged to be siphoning the limited resources meant for developing the country through bloated contracts and executing shoddy works for the people.
The erstwhile John Mahama led NDC administration had the tag corruption as its middle name. It was the bane of that administration and it eventually helped in getting them voted out.

But as it stands now, many people are of the view that, the narrative hasn’t changed despite the change of government. There has been a lot of corruption allegations made against senior members of the NPP government in the past three and half years.
A lot of corruption fighters have either given up or on the verge of giving up. Many have lost hope in seeing a government that will protect the public purse. Efia Odo is just one of those disappointed Ghanaians and she has finally made the conclusion that the thievery in government has a long history.
