Ghanaian actress and presenter Efia Odo has advised the President of Ghana on how the money he wanted to use to build the National Cathedral can be used to provide shelters for the homeless in this pandemic era where everyone is encouraged to stay indoors to avoid contracting covid-19.
During the partial lockdown in most places in the country, homeless people are the ones who have fallen victims to the covid-19 and the punishment of the security personnel who are seeing to it that people adhere to the President’s directives by staying at home.
Efia Odo took to her twitter handle to query the government on the state of the free housing project the Mahama government started and why they can’t halt the building of National Cathedral and use the money to provide shelter for the homeless in this pandemic era.

“What happened to the affordable housing project? Why is it not in use? Because it belongs to NDC right? Does everything have to be political. The money they wanted to use for the cathedral can build a homeless shelters, and it won’t even take up to one month to put it up” she wrote.
