Tutco Basic School Pupils Write Exams Sitting on Floor – MCE Ignores Headmistress’ Appeal

Tutco pupils sit on floor

Pupils of Tutco Demonstration Basic School have been forced to sit on the floor and benches supported by cement blocks to learn and write end of term exams due to lack of furniture.

The School located at Tutco in the Sissala East District of the Upper West region has a dilapidated school building and lacks the basic furniture and furnishings to support teaching and Learning.

Speaking to Nsemwoha.com, the Headmistress, Madam Abiba lamented the total neglect by the MCE of the Area, Hon. Nanyua Karim, the District Assembly and district education director as all her appeals have fallen on deaf ears.

She says she has made several appeals to authorities to address the situation but help is as yet to arrive. She is therefore calling on government and well meaning people to come to the aid of the school.
