Ghana’s president has been singled out for praise by netizens for his profound quote on the Coronavirus pandemic that’s ravaging through the world.
Nana Akufo-Addo, speaking to the citizens and residents of Ghana on his decision to lockdown the country as a measure to stem the spread of Covid-19, said while people are worried about the impact of the lockdown and social distancing on the economy, human life should rather be our focus because the world have always come out of economic crisis.
“We know how to bring, the economy back to life. What we do not know is how to bring people back to life” he said in his address.
Following this, the world couldn’t keep calm. #4More4Nana was immediately trending on Twitter with some citizens of other countries wishing to exchange their president for Nana Akufo-Addo.
The most outstanding voice though has been that of the director of the World Health Organization WHO, Tedros Adhanom retweeted a picture of the quote with the comment:
“Thank you for sending such a powerful message to the world, my brother @NAkufoAddo, President of #Ghana. Together, for a healthier, safer, fairer world! Together against #COVID19!”
Ace British broadcaster, Pierce Morgan also praised Nana Addo over his quote. He wrote:
