The president of the republic of Ghana has chosen Techiman as the regional capital of Bono East, one of the 6 newly created regions.
The declaration was made in collaboration with traditional and national stakeholders at a Constitutional Instrument(C.I) presentation by the president to traditional leaders of the Area at the Jubilee house.
Techiman is a vibrant city known for its abundance of foodstuffs. It links the North of Ghana on the the North of Ghana to the Central and Southern regions.
