Inspr. Michael Dotse Dzeamesi, a police officer who was gruesomely shot and killed with Colleague Lance Corporal Awal Mohammed while on official duty on 28th August this year has been laid to rest.
The funeral which took place at his hometown of Dagbamete in the Volta region was attended by the vice president of the republic, his Excellency Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia who led a delegation of government and Ghana Police service.
Inspector Dzeamesi was posthumously promoted while government has promised to provide all the necessary help to the family.
Their killing has also led to government promising changes in the police service including providing policemen on duty with bullet-proof vests and weapons to better protect themselves.
