Chelsea have succeeded in keeping Tariq Lamptey at the club as per the latest reports from The Athletic. The 19-year-old is said to have extended his contract even though there are no specific details of the deal at the moment.

Lamptey, who made his first Chelsea appearance less than two weeks ago has a contract with the club that expires in June 2020. The Blues were desperate to extend his deal with some big European clubs reportedly plotting to hijack the youngster.
