The outspoken member of parliament for Assin Central and owner of Oman FM and Net 2 TV, landed himself in hot waters when some comments he passed were deemed insulting to the honourable house.
He admitted before the house to calling the parliament of the republic of Ghana “Cheap” but has refuted claims he tagged the house as being “useless”. He has since apologized to parliament for his unfortunate comments.
A document chanced on by Nsemwoha shows a report by the Parliamentary privileges committee on their investigation into the issue. In the document, the committee said it had carefully considered the matter in its entirety and the evidence shows that the MP is in contempt of parliament for passing the comments “Parliament is Cheap” and “Parliament is Useless”.
It therefore recommended that the house adopts the committees report and sanction Kennedy Agyapong by either suspending him for the remainder of the Parliamentary session or reprimand him.
