Stay away from people who see your growth as a competition – Man advises

A tweep has taken to his twitter page to admonish people to stay away from the company of those who see the growth of their colleagues as a competition. According to him, such people can be very dangerous and must be avoided at all cost.

This advice comes in handy especially, considering the kind of lives that we live now. It’s very common in work places to see some workers not in talking terms simply because one of them seems to be doing something better than the rest. Envy begins to set in the moment they realize that a particular staff is even liked by the boss.

This phenomenon happens in broad-spectrum and is not only limited to work places. Such can be found in all facets of human lives. A friend can become envious of your success or growth and therefore begins machinations targeted at your downfall.

Examples of one time best friends turning to the worst enemies are abound in our society. This can largely be blamed on envy that creeped in when one of them begun showing some glimpse of progress.

We are still not grown to the level where we can accept that we all move at different paces. The success of a colleague should not be the yardstick to measure yours against.

If we understand that we can’t all be equally successful at one thing, the level of envy that continue to destroy people’s relationships and lives would have been minimized drastically.
