Ghanaians have taken to social media to bash member of parliament for Tema West, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah for endangering the public after he admitted going out and about even after testing positive for the novel Coronavirus.
Hon. Ahenkorah who doubles as the Deputy Minister for trade and industry claims he is asymptomatic and was seen visiting some of the voter registration centers in his constituency on Tuesday.
Speaking with Citinews, he explained that because he knows his status, he was more careful when he went out and that he spent less than 5 minutes at the registration center.
He also revealed that his driver had also tested positive for the virus but he remained in the car when he went around on Tuesday.
The hashtag #CarlosAhenkorah is trending on Twitter with most of the tweets bashing the MP for his recklessness knowing perfectly well the danger he poses to society with his Covid status.
Below we have sample some of the tweets aimed at Hon. Ahenkorah

It was very reckless of Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah to visit registration centers knowing very well his status and the possibility of him infecting others. No amount of interview and explanation is good enough to justify his actions. Exemplary leadership is required of our Honourables https://t.co/dZ4LASAptq
