Shatta Wale cited the appointment of his ‘godfather’ Dr. Kofi Amoah Abban as a board member of the Porcupine Warriors as a reason for his switch of allegiance.
Shatta after announcing his support for the club, encouraged his fans to follow him to the Kotoko fraternity. He shared a photo of Dr. Kofi Amoah Abban with the following caption; “Since my Godfada @kofiAbban19 is now a Board member of Asante kotoko. I am now supporting kotoko with full vim including my fans ..Wukum Apim apim b3ba !!! ⚽”
Shatta Wale was rumoured to be a fan of Kotoko’s fierce rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak. Ditching the rainbow club for Asante Kotoko especially for someone from Accra is one rarest things one could see in this country.
