SEC issues public notice on Companies voluntarily ceasing business

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as of yesterday, 29th January, 2019, issued a public notice on the voluntary ceasation of business by six companies involved in fund management activities in the capital market in Ghana.

These companies include the following:

  • HFC Capital Partners Limited
  • Attai Capital Limited
  • Serengeti Capital Limited
  • Indigo Investment Management Limited
  • Verit Investment Advisory Limited
  • Waxson Investment and Pension Management Limited.

According the signed communique the commission therefore advices the general public not to transact with any of these companies or their representatives as they are no more in existence.

They said anyone who does fund management business with them does so at their own risk now that they themselves have applied for a voluntary ceasation which the commission has assessed and approved.

The commission has assured the general public of it’s relentless efforts to ensure that people’s investment are safe and also aid in the development and growth of fund management activities in the capital market by enforcing rigorously it’s laid down rules and regulations.
