The Minister of Energy, Hon. Boakye Agyarko this morning was relieved of his duty by President Nana Akufo-Addo. His sacking was as a result of the issues surrounding the novation of the AMERI deal.
The amended deal was approved by an executive order by the president and was presented to parliament for review and adoption but was later recalled after the general public and civil Societies raised concern that the new deal was worse than the original agreement.
The former energy Minister has, in response to his sacking, written a short post on his official Facebook page.
“When the dust settles, my side would be heard. Thank you”
