The death toll in the US from the Coronavirus pandemic has topped 10,000 while the number of confirmed cases has exceeded 350,000.
That, is the exact situation it appears that Mr. Bush warned in an address in 2005 where he talked about the need for the United States to prepare for a future pandemic flu which could cripple it and cause a great loss.

“There is no pandemic flu in our country or in the world at this time. But if we wait for a pandemic to appear, it will be too late to prepare. And one day many lives could be needlessly lost because we failed to act today.”
