The president of the republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has declared mandatory, the wearing of face masks when going out.
The president speaking in his 11th address on the measures taken to curb the spread of the virus, said it is now an offense to go out without a mask.
The decision, he said is backed by an executive instrument, giving it the legal backbone. Police he said, will arrest anyone caught in a public space without a face mask on.
