The Dubai based company, AMERI energy has denied giving ministry of energy permission to commence with the novation of the BOOT agreement signed with government back in 2015.
Government of Ghana has recently rescinded the approval of an amended AMERI deal presented before parliament, which was to see Ghana spend in excess of $1.2Billion over 15years. President Nana Akuffo Addo has blamed his ministers for misleading him into approving the deal by executive order, by claiming it was a matter of urgency.
AMERI energy has released a letter in that regard to deny any knowledge of the new deal. They also would like to continue with the existing agreement down the wire before handing over the plant to Government of Ghana to do with it as it please.
