The chairman of the National Democratic Congress, NDC has finally responded to an invitation sent him by the Criminal Investigations Department for questioning concerning comments he made in a tape that was leaked to the public last week.
He went in the company of some senior executives of the NDC to the Police Headquarters located at Kanda in the Capital, Accra. The Criminal Investigation Department invited him last week but Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo failed to honour the investigation claiming he was indisposed. The comments that some have claimed to be treasonous was recorded at a meeting with communication rank and file in the NDC on the Aftermath of the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence.

Some rank and file in the NDC have said the tape was doctored, while others have confirmed that it was indeed authentic but downplayed the comments claiming Mr. Ofosu Ampofo is a peaceful man and didn’t mean what he said.
The former president, John Mahama claimed at a health walk held on Saturday that the NPP has bugged their party office in a desperate attempt to hold on to power in 2020.
