Ghanaian screen goddess Yvonne Nelson has revealed that most people have good things to say about a person but they are only waiting for the fellow to die.
The hypocrisy exhibited by most people especially Ghanaians when someone dies leaves one wondering. When a person dies in Ghana, the fellow suddenly becomes a saint – sinless, and people begin to say nice things about him/her.
When you compare the eulogies that pour in for the dead in Ghana to what has been said about them when they were alive, one would wonder whether it was the same they’re talking about. So many examples are abound.

Ghanaians in particular does not celebrate people until they’re dead. In fact, if you want to be respected and hailed as a good person just make sure you die. People who never cared about you when you were alive will travel far distances to come and bury you. Relatives who never cared whether you get to eat or not, will contribute huge sums of money towards your funeral.

There are many instances where some people die as a result of poverty. They couldn’t afford to pay for treatment and there was no one to come to their aid. But the moment they pass away, the family will raise money for the funeral.

The actress took to her twitter page to present her case. Yvonne Nelson who has endured a lot of ‘negativity’ in the industry might have used that as inspiration for statement.
