Parliament Mugabe Alban Bagbin, bows out of parliament – Won’t contest in 2020

Member of Parliament for the Nadowli-Kaleo constituency in the Upper West region, Honourable Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has bowed out of the upcoming NDC parliamentary primaries and effectively the will not be in the next Parliament.

He will leave parliament in 2020 as the longest serving Parliamentarian, having been in office since the beginning of Ghana’s 4th republic in 1992.

There has been agitations within the party at the regional and constituency level for the man tagged as the Mugabe of parliament to step down after being in office for what would be 28 years in 2020 when the current Parliament will be dissolved.

Mr. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin contested in the recently held Presidential primaries, losing woefully to Ex president John Mahama.
