A netizen has lashed out at single men who, in the name of searching for a wife material, pretend they’re destitute as a means of testing the lady.
It is the expectation of most men that a lady who will be a good wife, must be able to stick with her man even if he has nothing.
With this in mind, some guys like to come off to ladies they’re interested in, as poor and having nothing but love to offer, just to see if their woman will accept them.
The netizen, Faisal Dangote, who perhaps premised his stance on the quote that “it takes some amount of comfort to practice a virtue”, called such guys ‘pharisees’ who have no right to subject women through such tests.
He wrote in a Facebook post: “You don’t test a lady with poverty and starving in the name of looking for a good wife, dearest pharisee”
