Rev. Owusu Bempah has been in the news lately for his prophecies on the 31st of December, prophesying death to important and influential political and religious leaders. What got him into trouble was his prophecy on the death of the national chief Imam Sheikh Nuhu Shaributu.
Some irate youth went berserk and stormed his church premises at odorkor, destroying properties there.
The outspoken pastor has come out to clear the air after the incident.
In his address, he said he blamed NDC, not Muslims for the incident. Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah in his first interview stated clearly that those who attacked his church are not Muslims.
He claimed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) mobilized to irate youth to vandalize his church after an assassination attempt on his life failed.
“NDC sent someone from Salaga to assassinate me so I knew those who came to my church even though they were speaking Hausa were not Muslims”. A group armed with machetes stormed Rev. Owusu Bempah’s Wednesday after he prophesied that some key leaders in Ghana including the National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharabutu will die 2019.He showered praises on the revered Imam who in spite of the prophesy demonstrated maturity and appealed for calm among his members.
“Chief Imam shocked me; he didn’t behave like some men of God who condemned me for doing God’s work” he added. Rev. Owusu Bempah warned the NDC and the pastors conniving to kill him not to bother because he is protected by God.
