Teso North Constituency residents in Kenya got condom donations from their Member of Parliament Oku Kaunya instead of face masks during the coronavirus pandemic.
This is counter-intuitive of the MP to help the constituency residents at a time when the Health Ministry is encouraging everyone to wear masks.
According to Okada operators, Kaunya donated a small plastic water container with his name printed on the surface with condoms nicely wrapped in a polythene bag.
Residents were puzzled by the donation and wondered how it would help them prevent getting infected by COVID-19. They, however, appreciated the donations saying that it has its own purpose.
