Legendary music producer, Hammer of the last two has hinted that most Ghanaian rappers can’t face Asem in a rap freestyle contest. His assertion comes after the rapper came under severe attacks from fans of Sarkodie following some videos he’s been dropping against the ‘Highest’.
Asem for a couple of months now has been dropping rap freestyle videos throwing shots at his compatriots in the game. Particularly among those targeted for his shots is Sarkodie.
Many of the rapper’s fans have been on the nerves of Asem for dissing Sarkodie in most of his freestyles. They have labelled him as someone who has outlived his relevance and doesn’t have the lyrical wherewithal to face the Sarknation boss.

But Hammer who introduced Sarkodie to Ghanaian music lovers thinks otherwise. To him, what Asem is doing is something that no rapper in Ghana can attempt without exposing his shallowness. He believes that Asem doing raw freestyles that still sounds dope makes him a special breed and sets him miles apart.

He wrote: “Been watching Asem’s Twitter videos and I’m surprised ppl think he’s lost his mojo… the fact that he’s even doing these songs raw & out of studio and it still sounds great goes to say he’s a different breed of musician, rapping and singing his choruses and all. Can’t wait to hear the final work.. ignore the freestyling out-of-studio format and listen really well. Most musicians will sound very bad in this format, trust me, Forget the beef and listen to him proper. This EP will change everything.”
