The expose titled ‘Militia at the heart of the Nation’ showed how an organization calling itself De-eye group used the former seat of Government, the Christianberg Castle to host and train youth purported by the report as being militias.

In the said video, the leaders of the group confirmed the president and some rank and file of his cabinet knew about their presence in the castle. The video since it’s release has received a myriad of comments from some sections of the public with some doubting the militia status of the supposed secret group since it had a website and their leaders granted interviews to media houses.

The minority in their press conference also called for the arrest of the leaders of the group, Nana Wireko Addo and Nana Fianko, both members of the ruling NPP.

In response to the allegations that the youth seen wearing suits in the video are militia being trained by the party, the NPP has said the group is made up of unemployed youth who trooped to the castle after the party won power in 2016 in search for jobs.

They were allowed to come around for capacity building, some of whom found jobs and left and the rest help in ushering during events.
