Mahama lambasted for showing secret Ballot to media

If you have seen the picture of our former president John Mahama voting at Bole then you obviously know that he voted YES for the creation of the Savannah region.

While some Ghanaians are happy that ex-president John Mahama voted Yes for the creation of the Savannah region, others are lambasting him for his indiscretion in showing his ballot to the media, exposing his YES vote even though it was supposed to be a secret ballot.

The act is in contravention of Article 49(1) of the 1992 constitution which states “At any public election or referendum, voting shall be by a secret ballot”.
