Kuo-Kakalaa community gets first of 6 boreholes funded by NPP’s Elvis Botah [Photos]


The entire community of Kuo Kakalaa, a village in the Nadowli-Kaleo district of the Upper West region can now boast of potable drinking water thanks to the benevolence of Hon. Elvis Banoemuleng Botah.

The project which was started a few months back with sole funding from Mr. Botah was successfully completed and handed over to the community on Tuesday, 31st December, 2019.

Before, the community used to trek several kilometers to fetch water from a stream they shared with livestock. This borehole therefore is a welcome delight and will save an entire community from stress and disease.

Speaking at the handover, Hon. Elvis Botah said the borehole was the first of 6 borehole projects for similar communities within the constituency he was funding. “5 other such communities without potable drinking water to benefit soon within this month” he said.

Mr. Botah is the Deputy National Organizer of the NPP and the party’s parliamentary candidate for the upcoming 2020 general elections. He is set to annex the Nadowli-Kaleo seat in the upcoming 2020 elections after winning the confidence of NPP party delegates in the recently held Parliamentary primaries in the constituency.
