Justice Ajakumah – the ‘Let My Vote Count’ protester who lost one eye in police crackdown reported dead

Nsemwoha.com has learned that Justice Ajakumah, the famous let my vote count demonstrator who was badly injured in one eye when police heavy-handedly cracked down on protesters in 2015 has been reported dead.

The news was confirmed by ardent NPP member and CEO of Accra Digital Centre, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah on his Facebook page.

The young man lost his one eye after the incident and received nationwide attention when the Erstwhile John Mahama administration was criticized for using the police to stifle the right of citizens to lawfully gather and protest their displeasure.

Mr. Ajakumah is said to have suffered a short illness which eventually led to his demise. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace.
