There’s no time to waste at all as John Dumelo as started his campaign just 72hours after winning his primaries at Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
The screen icon secured 758 votes representing over 88% of the total votes cast at the Saturday polls whiles his only contender, Suzzy Adorboe pulled 99 votes.
In photos going viral on social media, Dumelo is said to have begun his campaign at Tesano Santana Market.
He was spotted at the Plantain market with all smiles. Another photo also saw him shaking hands warmly with a charcoal seller.
Some group of men also gathered around to take pictures with him.

Ayawaso West Wuogon seat has long been in the hands of the ruling New Patriotic Party. The incumbent MP for the Constituency, Madam Lydia Alhassan retained the seat for the NPP in a by-election on January 31, 2019 following the sudden demise of her husband, the then NPP MP, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.

The by-election was characterized by violence and seen as the most unpeaceful election and low voting turn out ever recorded in the history of the country.
Mr. Dumelo has since vowed to end the NPP dominance in the constituency.
