Despite the fact that dancehall king Shatta Wale has been banned from being nominated or taking part in the coming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, he’s still interested in working with the organizers, Charterhouse.
The self acclaimed dancehall King was interviewed on Onua Fm and he announced that he will only work with Charterhouse if money is involved.
He stated that, whether he has been banned or not he can still perform at the event if only Charterhouse can offer him 100,000 Ghana Cedis.
We all know Shatta Wale to be a money minded person so a lot of people are not surprised to hear that from him.
“I’m not willing to be part of the VGMA even if they lift the ban. I’ve never gotten cash from them before.
They say they’ll give you cash but I have never gotten anything from VGMA. But if VGMA want me to perform, it’s my service they want therefore I will charge them 100k. I will take my money and then I perform” he said.
