Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, CEO of Accra Digital Centre and an astute young member of the New Patriotic Party NPP, has issued a disclaimer distancing himself from rumors he is supporting an independent Parliamentary candidate in the Asante Akim Central constituency going into the December 2020 election.
Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, who contested in the NPP’s recently held primaries in the constituency, lost to incumbent MP Hon. Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi.
Following his loss, he raised his displeasure with the way and manner the election was conducted, alleging there were irregularities that might have contributed to his loss.
Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, in the disclaimer posted on Facebook, said people in the constituency are riding on his palpable displeasure to associate him with an individual running independent in the constituency’s parliamentary race, but claims he has no interest in supporting any independent candidate as he is a true member of the NPP.
“Kofi Ofosu Nkansah is not interested in, does not and will not support any Independent Parliamentary candidate in Asante Akyem Central.
I am therefore urging all those who supported me to remain true to NPP and to desist from using my pictures or paraphernalia in any Independent candidate’s campaign.” he wrote.
He also used to chance to ask his supporters to help the incumbent MP retain the seat in December’s election.
