Read the letter below
Background
Hon. Ayariga was accused by the special Prosecutor’s office for misappropriating a loan facility secured for members of parliament to buy for themselves an official vehicle which costs $80,000.
The Honourable MP is said to have used the funds to rather import a number of used vehicles from Dubai, applied for duty exemption using his office as MP and went ahead to sell the said vehicles.
The conduct is deemed to be in breach of the constitution by the OSP and is therefore prosecuting the MP.
