Pictures sighted by nsemwoha reveals the deplorable state of the Fufulso – Sawla road that links central Gonja, west Gonja and the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba districts in the Northern region of Ghana. The revelation was made by a Facebook user Manuel Quaye in a post.
The road which cost taxpayers a whopping $157million was constructed in 2015 by the erstwhile NDC-John Mahama administration has some stretch of it with the asphalt washed off and other parts completely sunken in mud.
This comes as no surprise as it is a norm in Ghana that politicians award overpriced contracts expecting a kick-back which leads to the construction of low quality yet very expensive projects which doesn’t last.
