Renowned Philanthropist and politician, Hajia Claudia Humu has donated a Ford van ambulance to the Wa central muslim community through her foundation.
Speaking at the short handing over ceremony after Friday prayers at the Wa central mosque, Hajia Humu Claudia Said ;
“Growing up and learning from the imams and other religious leaders, I learnt there is no better way to spend our money than spending in the way of Allah. It doesn’t matter how small it is.
As part of the responsibility once taken upon myself in striving to make society and Islam better, I hereby donate this “FORD-VAN” to the Wa Central Mosque and the community at large to help in carrying our sick and dead relatives, as the Quran said; we should increase our remembrance of the only one thing that destroys all desires(Death).
I hope and pray Allah bless me more to be able to give back more to society as we move forward. I pray many others are blessed to join hands in making society better. May those doing already be blessed more to give more, and may those who has intention of giving but do not have also be blessed to give more.
Wealth in Islam can be increased by giving Sadaqah and charity to the needy and poor. Charity is said to wash our wealth and increase it more.
May good health and wealth be the portion of every Muslim.”
Hajia Humu is known for her philanthropic role in the Wa municipality. Notable among her projects are the ‘Say no to tramadol campaign’, Providing scholarship for students to further their education both in Ghana and abroad and mentoring youth in politics in the region.
