Ghanaian comedian, Funny Face has cried to Ghanaians to purchase his new music album, Animal Kingdom after recording poor sales so far. The comedian cum musician released his debut album in the music industry some few days ago and the patronage is not as anticipated.
In a social media post, the entertainer bemoaned the low patronage while pleading with Ghanaians to buy his album which cost only Gh¢ 20.00. He revealed that after roaming with the album the whole day he has not sold even a single copy.
The emergence of free download sites on the internet has affected physical sales of music albums worldwide. Most musicians have resorted to putting their music on digital platforms such as Spotify and iTunes for online streams that can fetch them money.
Unfortunately for Funny Face, most of the songs on his Animal Kingdom album were released over seven years ago. People really don’t see the need buying something they can get for free on the internet.
The Kasoa Vandamme has an affinity for singing about animals. On the Animal Kingdom’s album, he has featured a number of artistes including Castro, D-Cryme, Bisa Kdei, Gasmilla among others.
