The president of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has directed the minister for education and the Ghana education service to reconsider the decision to bar 14 sacked SHS students from writing the ongoing WASSCE exam.

In a letter released by the office of the president and signed by Eugene Arhin, the president said dismissing the students from school was punishment enough and that should deter others from engaging in the acts that got them dismissed.

The letter further said that the president believes everyone deserves a second chance in life and therefore is hopeful the students will be allowed by GES to take the rest of their exam as scheduled.
