Sarkodie and Yaa Pono are one of the few revolutionary rappers who have been relevant in the industry for over a decade now. The two Tema based rappers have been friends from day one when they started to pursue their music careers.
Sarkodie who is regarded as one of the best rappers in the history of rap music in Ghana and Africa had a very humble beginning just like most of his colleagues. He didn’t find fame on a silver platter.

The highest as he’s widely referred to is celebrating his birthday today. As part of the celebration, there has been sea of birthday wishes flooding social media already. From fans, bloggers, radio and TV presenters to colleague artistes are all wishing him well.
One of the wishes that caught the eyes of the people is the one from Yaa Pono. The Uptown Energy boss, shared a throwback photo of himself with Sarkodie when they were coming up in the music industry. From the photo, one can see the massive transformation that the two have gone through.
