The Chelsea squad will for yet another game miss the presence of midfield dynamo Ngolo Kante due to the worsening of an injury he was nursing prior to the recent international break.
Frank Lampard has vented his frustration at the French national team’s coach Didier Deschamps, revealing Chelsea reached out to him not to involve Kante in the recent fixtures to allow him recover fully from his injury.

Pride of course, meant Didier would not listen to the pleas of the Chelsea boss, going ahead to call him up, while communication between doctors on both side broke up.
Kante’s injury was exacerbated while with the national team and now has to be sidelined for Chelsea’s match against the magpies on Saturday, 19th October 2019.

“After the first game when he pulled out he then had a fitness test the day before the second game, it was clear that he couldn’t play,” Lampard said after ruling Kante out of Chelsea’s game against Newcastle on Saturday

Chelsea has been in a fine form in recent games, winning their last 4 matches in all competitions. The potential return of their midfield hero was seen as a boost but it looks certain that Kante will be out for at least another week.
