The people of Adjena , Adumasa ,Gyakiti Anyaase and the rest of the communities in the Asuogyaman constituency of the Eastern region of Ghana are calling on government to pay attention to the deplorable nature of their roads.
The road which runs through the communities have been badly eroded by runoff water leaving large potholes for drivers to avoid, of which the least mistake might lead to an accident.
The Asuogyaman constituency is credited with giving Ghana the land and waters on which Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah constructed Ghana’s maiden hydroelectric dam, the Akosombo dam, but the constituency has been largely overlooked in terms of basic development and infrastructure.
A resident, Mr. Dennis Asare who spoke with Nsemwoha News said the member of parliament, Hon. Ampem Darko, and the District Chief executive, Hon. Samuel Agyekum have all turned a blind eye to their plight in their capacity as the people’s representatives and he is calling for immediate assistance from the government.
