The president of the republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has lifted the restrictions on the number of persons allowed per service in churches.

Speaking in his 14th address to the nation on measures taken to curb the spread of the virus, the president said phase 2 of the gradual easing of restrictions has come into effect and effective August 1st, the allowed service duration of 1 hour has been extended to 2 hours.

President Akufo-Addo tasked church leaders to ensure adherence strictly to the laid down protocols to ensure the gains chopped in the fight against the virus isn’t eroded by a spike.
