Cassper Nyovest advises musicians to cut down unnecessary expenditure in this Covid-19 season

One of Africa’s rap giants Cassper Nyovest has taken to social media to advise his colleagues to adjust their lifestyles in order to cope with the hardships that the coronavirus pandemic has brought onto the world.

Entertainers are always expected to live a certain lifestyle that is considered as the standards. In the name of branding, they invest a lot of money on their looks to the detriment of investment. They want to appear classy in the public.

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus, there has been a ban on public gathering and that, by extension, has affected musical concerts. This means that the artistes’ main source of income has been curtailed leaving them with only online streams which is not also reliable.

The rapper believes that once the artistes are able to cut down on unnecessary spending, they will be able to absorb the economic shocks of the pandemic.

“Sending prayers to all the entertainers during this tough time. I know the finances are starting to look very tricky. Don’t be afraid to cut down, now is not the time for Abantu bazo thini or what will people think. Sort out what is most important & cut the rest. We will be back!”, he tweeted.
