Obtaining a university degree in this part of the world is a noble thing to do but the real trouble starts when you want to use the degree to land your dream job. Often times than not, multiple degree holders with first class honors flood our streets rustling feathers with those who are way below them in academic qualifications in the everyday hustle.
Some people may wonder why, education which is highly touted as the key to unlocking life’s successes have failed to support those who have acquired high level degrees. A lot of college degree holders are living miserably in the society – something that has made the youth to question the relevance of education these days.

Some people argue that, it takes more than a degree to get one a decent job after graduating from college. Other variables such as character, hard work and respect come to play in landing one his or her dream job. Nowadays you even need an additional skills like basic knowledge in information technology, communication and interpersonal relationship skills in addition to your degree.
A lady on Facebook has shared her opinion on the issue of university degree holders have not been employed after many years of completing their courses.

According to the lady, one needs connections to be able to get his preferred job. She wrote; “Being rude or arrogant will take u no where, sometimes good manners can open doors which education or qualifications cannot open”.
Considering the way we play politics in this part of the world, where you need to know somebody before you are given an opportunity, the relevance of the certificate is actually dragged into the mud.
