Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako believes Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas is a ‘corrupt thief’ walking the path of disgracing Ghana and its citizens before the international community and must be stopped immediately, MyNewsGh.com reports.

This is after Wontumi’s aide was captured in an undercover video by Anas facilitating bribe for Charles Bissue of the Jubilee house.

Wontumi warned that the path Anas is chartting by showing videos in which members of Tiger Eye PI are seen entrapping innocent Ghanaians in the name of undercover investigations and showing them on international television channels including the BBC and Aljazeera, is nothing short of a way to embarrass the country.

He is of the view that the earlier he is stopped and his actions condemned, the better for the image of the country revealing some of the countries in which these videos are shown have more sophisticated crimes being perpetrated than what pertains in Ghana

“What I know is that Anas wants to disgrace Ghana and Ghanaians. If you are a journalist, record videos and go and give to BBC, CNN and Aljazeera….are there no thieves in the areas where these media houses operate? To record policemen and soldiers with the claim they are taking three million is in bad taste. What we got is only state protection”, he observed.

He alleged that Anas is a criminal who is seeking to use the investigations into galamsey to cover the raging controversy about the death of his boy Ahmed Suale.

“I once pulled a gun on Anas .Please, this swindler is a thief, a corrupt person who goes out blackmailing people. What possibly can happen if I’m in the part 2 of his so called Video..? I swear to God, I haven’t been on My Galamsey sites since 2013 after ‘ President Mahama seized my machine”, he disclosed on Kumasi-based Pure Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
