The ministry of information under the hand of Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has released a statement informing the public of the successful rescue of 2 Canadians who were abducted in Kumasi.
The two Canadians, all women and aged 19 and 20 were rescued by National security operatives in the early hours of Wednesday 12, June which also led to the arrest of two suspects, a mechanic who drove the car used in the abduction and one other person.
The two went missing last week in the Ashanti regional Capital, an incident which led the Canadian government to warn its citizens of traveling to Ghana and the Australians also warning its citizens in the country to desist from traveling by public transport while in the country.
