Popular and vociferous musician Kwame A Plus is set to appear in court today for hearing on the defamation suit brought against him by the Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu.
The claim pertains to comments the outspoken musician made on his Facebook page last year regarding purported corrupt activities surrounding the Kelni GVG contract with the government of Ghana, a contract signed through the ministry of communications.
The plaintiff is seeking answers from the defendant on the following questions.
1. Whether or not the defendants publication on Facebook that the plaintiff is “Corrupt and involved in shady deals at the communications Ministryand NCA” is defamatory of the plaintiff.
2. Whether or not the plaintiff has ever been convicted by a court for engaging in the criminal offence of thievery or corruption in respect of the Kelni GVG transaction with the Government of Ghana.
3. Whether or or not the defendants statements on Facebook refers to the plaintiff
4. Whether or not the plaintiff is entitled to her claims.
